Our history.

Since the creation of Florida Poodle Rescue in 1994, it has found homes for more than 7,000 poodles — standard, miniature, toys, and poodle-wanna bees — who were abandoned, abused, neglected or unwanted. Each one was spayed or neutered and examined by a veterinarian. They were placed in a Foster home that provided love and patience to help the furry "kids" adjust before being adopted. Their stays in foster care varied from several days to several months — the time depended upon the condition of the dogs when they were received by Florida Poodle Rescue, Inc.

Since its inception, Florida Poodle Rescue has provided more than a few furry "kids" with facial reconstruction, hip surgery, cataract operations, and treatment for active cases of heartworm. These rescued "kids" now lead joyful lives as cherished companions to loving human parents. The joy and satisfaction of rescuing a poodle and being a part of their transformation cannot be described in words.
